Eighth Annual Scientific Retreat, 2007

2007 ET Program Retreat:

Dear ET program members and friends:

This year’s ET program retreat will be critical to us putting forward a competitive ET Program Section of the 2007 P30 application for a Cancer Center Support Grant. It is crucial that members attend this retreat to bolster the ET section of the application which will be written during the Summer of 2007.

The retreat will be focused on the exchange of scientific interests and progress among members, and strengthening the productive scientific interactions amongst our members.

We are looking forward to hearing about your most recent and exciting work, but please include 1-2 slides addressing (1) what clinical samples might enhance your research (2) who are your current or planned collaborators among cancer center members. Please plan to stay for the entire retreat as your participation will greatly enhance the effectiveness of the discussions.

This year, our Keynote Speaker will be Dr. Lorraine Gudas, Professor and Co-chair, Department of Pharmacology, Weill Medical College of Cornell University.

Topic: "Retinoids, Stem Cells, and Cancer"

Dr. Gudas is a member of our External Scientific Advisory Committee, and as such, she will review our members' research assist us in producing a competitive Experimental Therapeutics component for the upcoming P30 application.

We would also like all Cancer Center Program and Shared Service Leaders or your designee to attend the 2006 ET Program Retreat. All Cancer Center Members and interested parties are cordially invited to attend!
